WHAT IS AN UPPER TUMMY TUCK OR A REVERSE ABDOMINOPLASTY?
A Reverse Abdominoplasty, sometimes referred to as an Upper Tummy Tuck, is a surgical procedure that lifts and tightens the lax sagging skin on your stomach above your belly button.
An upper tummy tuck is different from the traditional one because with a traditional tummy tuck which removes the skin from your lower stomach, a reverse abdominoplasty removes skin only from the upper portion of your stomach.
An inframammary incision below the breasts is used for a Reverse Abdominoplasty, leaving the scars well hidden within the breast crease.
This technique can be combined with other body reshaping procedures, such as Breast Augmentation, Lift, or Reduction by using the same incision, for optimal results.
