Safety
Preparation For Your Office Injection Session
-
Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil, Nuprin), Aleve and other anti-inflamatory medication for 7 to 10 days prior to your treatment to reduce the chance of bruising. Tylenol is fine.
-
Consider taking arnica montana, an herbal, the day before your injection and for a few days after to minimize inflamation
-
Consider adding fresh pineapple to your diet a few days before your treatment. Bromelain tablets may also be used and both will help reduce inflamation.
-
For your comfort, Dr. Lynch’s staff will apply a numbing cream to your skin overlying the area to be injected 10 to 15 minutes prior to your injection. Ice is often used during your injection for comfort, and after your injection to minimize the chance of swelling.
