You will go home in a compression garment, either an above-the-knee garment with an abdominal binder (wrap with Velcro) or a body suit with zippers, for the first few weeks after surgery. As the swelling goes down and the fat begins to settle in the buttocks, you will begin to see results. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication.
