What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau (Prabotulinumtoxin A-xvfs) a highly purified form of botulinum toxin A, the same “active ingredient” in Botox or Dysport. Similar to Botox, Jeuveau is composed of the same protein but undergoes a different purification and drying process termed Hi-Pure Technology. Jeuveau, also known as #Newtox, temporarily reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles. Like Botox and Dysport, Jeuveau blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles, reducing movement and smoothing out your facial wrinkles.

All Neurotoxin Injectables, such as Botox and Jeuveau, include an initial consultation and facial evaluation. Then, an individualized treatment plan to achieve your goals is created. The treatment takes only a few minutes and is nearly painless. However, we do offer topical numbing cream if preferred. Details about how your injectable treatment will be performed will be provided during your initial consultation.
Can you try Jeuveau if you have only used Botox or Dysport in the past?
Yes. Patients who have previously used other products for wrinkle removal are not limited. Some patients may notice wrinkle relaxation within the first 24 to 48 hours, but most will see the full effect within 4 to 7 days following the injection. Jeuveau can be used on virtually any area of the body.
What Is The Difference Between Jeuveau and Botox?
Jeuveau was designed to be a premium competitor to Botox. Jeuveau and BOTOX are created from a refined form of Botulinum toxin A. While both BOTOX and Jeuveau Botox Alternative are made from the same basic neurotoxin, Jeuveau has the benefit of using the newest technology and methods of creation that were not available when BOTOX was first introduced into the market. In clinical studies, Jeuveau was found to reduce the appearance of frown lines and Botox. Jeuveau is different from Botox in that it undergoes a different purification process and a different drying process.

How Long Do The Results of Jeuveau Last?
Jeuveau Botox Alternative Results vary depending on the area and amount used. It typically lasts up to 4 months.
Post Treatment Instructions
- Remain upright for 4 hours after injection, keeping your head above your heart.
- Exaggerate facial expressions in treated areas for 1 hour after injection.
- Tiny bumps and marks at the injection sites usually disappear within a few hours.
- With any injection procedure, bruising is possible; if it occurs, apply ice to the area for 20 minutes. You may also use an OTC topical Arnica product.
- Headaches can occur after BOTOX® treatments. If you have a headache, we recommend that you avoid aspirin or other aspirin-containing products. You may use Motrin, Tylenol, and cool compresses. If the headache is unrelenting or worsens, please contact our office.
- Do not engage in vigorous exercise for the 1st 24 hours after treatment.
- Do not massage or manipulate injection sites for 48 hours after injection.
- Schedule your follow-up appointment (if applicable) before leaving our office.
- Results are expected within 3 to 5 days after injection, with maximum effect by two weeks.
