What to Expect During the VI Peel
Dr. Lynch will cleanse your skin and apply the chemical solution on your face and /or other areas. During your VI Peel the solution is evenly applied in two phases: one to penetrate into the skin cells on the skin’s surface, and the other to go deeper into the dermis where toxins and dead skin cells are hiding. The solution dries quickly and you are free to resume daily activities, but must wait 4 hours before washing it off. The VI Peel is a fast, effective treatment that lasts about 30 minutes from start to finish.
Following your office visit, you will take home with a care kit that includes specific instructions for the next 72 hours. After 4 hours, you should remove the solution, Dr. Lynch applied, using a post-peel towelette after the initial application; one hour before bed, another towelette and gentle face washing with the VI cleanser (included in the care kit). Also included your care kit is a hydrocortisone cream to relieve any itching or discomfort, plus an SPF 50 sunscreen to wear over the course of the week to protect the new layer of your skin.
After just one VI Peel , you should expect to see an improvement in your skin’s appearance. Dark spots and fine lines reduce immediately when the completion of the treatment is done, and you will see also the effects of the peel.
